Ticketmaster Sucks
Monopolies typically suck and Ticketmaster is definitely a monopoly and
definitely sucks.
Attempted task: Send a gift certificate
Went to ticketmaster.com
 | NO MENTION OF GIFT CERTIFICATES |
| NO PHONE NUMBER FOR TICKETMASTER |
| NO EMAIL ADDRESS POSTED FOR TICKETMASTER |
| I CANNOT STAND SITES WHO POST NO CONTACT INFORMATION!!!! (but, hey,
they are a monopoly - "where's that cheese I smell? who put me in
this maze?") |
Found a phone number via Raleigh Memorial Auditorium's page
| There is no choice available to talk to a human |
| Dialing "0" does not direct me to a human |
| It asked me for an event name - THERE IS NO EVENT NAME!!! |
| So I said "help me" every time it asked for an event and
eventually it gave up and put me on hold for 5 minutes. |
Finally talked to someone
| Certificate CANNOT BE USED FOR PHONE ORDERS OR ONLINE - that sucks! |
| Certificate CANNOT BE SHIPPED TO RECIPIENT - that really sucks! |
| Plus 2 minutes of other terms and conditions, many repeated 2 or 3 times. |
| WHY CAN'T I get one that can be used online?!?! |
| $3.25 for handling?!?! And then surcharges out the wazhoo(?) when
they finally use it? |
So I finally get the gift certificate ordered.
Am I done? NO! THEN THEY TRY TO SELL ME TWO UNRELATED
ITEMS!! BITE ME TICKETMASTER!!!
